In the Catholic Church, Holy Thursday (also known as Maundy Thursday) is the day that we celebrate the Last Supper, at which Christ instituted the Mass and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. It is the first day of the Triduum, the three days before Easter Sunday, during which we commemorate Christ's Passion.

Last April on a Sunday we took one of our "nowhere" drives, my husband was quietly driving a back road. I was occupied in the front passenger seat watching the scenery.
I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my husband was straining to look out my window. This startled me, since his eyes should be on the road in front of him. I asked him what he was looking at out the windows, and he quietly replied, "Nothing." His eyes went back to the road in front of him. |

Dear friends, I finally got around to go for walk through the fields between the base of the Cross Mountain (where my home is) and the church. I came across several groups of pilgrims from different parts of the world, being that today is the Feast of the Annunciation that is no surprise. The lent is the time when we try to get closer to God, we all set goals to improve our faith and in one way give back what we have received over the past year.. But what fascinates me is to often witness youth in such deep meditation, praying the rosary, climbing the Cross Mountain barefoot, climbing the hills on their knees. This sight is just an inspiration to me and I hope it is in a way push forward for you. Praise God. |

Dear friends, an interesting project was started by the Tourist Association of Koprivnica -Krizevci region of Croatia. This region is know to the world by its school of Naïve art, in fact, this is the area where this type of art was born. A number of world famous artists come from this place i.e. Ivan Lackovic Croata, Franjo Mraz,
Minimalistic and detailed drawings mainly oil on glass, quite fascinating. I must add that this is my favorite type of visual arts. To get back to how is this connected to Medjugorje: as you all know there is a tradition to paint eggs for the Easter season, well, this project does exactly that but they paint eggs that are about 7 feet high. These eggs are sent around the world as gifts to chosen people, churches, towns
Medjugorje is one of them :-) other eggs were sent to the Vatican, the city Zagreb, Paris, New York and so on. The little ceremony of the presentation of this egg in Medjugorje will take place Monday at noon.
A friend of mine happened to be at the spot as they were unloading the crate and took a picture that I am sharing with all of you. Please click read more on the right to see more of these peculiar master peaces.

The visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June
24th 1981 to December 25th 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our
Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that she would appear to
her once a year, on the 18th of March. It has been this way through
the years. Several thousand pilgrims gathered in prayer of the Rosary
at the 'Blue Cross'. The apparition lasted from 13:50 to 13:54.
Dear children! Today I call you to love with all your heart and
with all your soul. Pray for the gift of love, because when the soul
loves it calls my Son to itself. My Son does not refuse those who call
Him and who desire to live according to Him. Pray for those who do not
comprehend love, who do not understand what it means to love. Pray that
God may be their Father and not their Judge. My children, you be my
apostles, be my river of love. I need you. Thank you.

March 5, 2010. Benedict XVI has formed a commission to investigate if Our Lady truly appeared in Medjugorje, a small town in Bosnia.
The
commission is part of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith
and Cardinal Camillo Ruini will preside over the commission. Ruini is
the popes former vicar of Romes diocese. Ruini goal will be to
explain to the pope whats happening at the sanctuary which has become
the third most visited in Europe.
Allegedly, at least 6 people
have witnessed the Virgins apparitions there since 1981. Aside from the
large crowds of pilgrims who visit the sanctuary, the Vatican has not
commented on the alleged apparitions, but in 1991 the local bishops
said they were not aware of any supernatural apparitions.
This
investigation will put an end to any doubts and itll be critical for
the millions of pilgrims who visit this shrine every year

Dear children,
In this special time of your effort to be all the closer to my Son, to His suffering, but also to the love with which He bore it, I desire to tell you that I am with you. I will help you to triumph over errors and temptations with my grace. I will teach you love, love which wipes away all sins and makes you perfect, love which gives you the peace of my Son now and forever. Peace with you and in you, because I am the Queen of Peace. Thank you.

James Caviezel visits Medjugorje once again, Jim played the roll of Jesus in The Passion of Christ movie. I know he has been here before but still, seeing him at mass this morning was quite a surprise. He has been quite a trooper standing up for his faith and visiting Medjugorje again is just encouragement for all of us to stand up for our faith no matter who and what we are. |

THIS IS FABULOUS!!!It was written by an 8-year-old named Danny Dutton, who lives in Chula Vista , CA . He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to "explain God" I wonder if any of us could have done as well ?
EXPLANATION OF GOD:
"One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers."
