Message of the Queen of Peace, January 25, 2007.

"Dear children! Put Sacred Scripture in a visible place in your family and read it. In this way, you will come to know prayer with the heart and your thoughts will be on God. Do not forget that you are passing like a flower in a field, which is visible from afar but disappears in a moment. Little children, leave a sign of goodness and love wherever you pass and God will bless you with an abundance of His blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Two Ladders

It is told in the Franciscan Chronicles that Brother Leon one day saw two ladders: a red one, on which Jesus-Christ stood; the other a white one where Mary was standing. He then saw souls who tried to climb the red ladder. They managed to go up a few rungs, but then fell; they kept trying again and again, but they always ended up falling down. Then one of them tried to climb the white ladder, and Brother Leon saw that they went up swiftly, because the Blessed Virgin lent them a hand. On this ladder, they arrived with little difficulty in paradise.

Saint Alphonsus Liguori, Glories of Mary (1750)

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death.

My Science is Love!

Sometimes I envy those who have the good fortune to be theologians! But doesn't prayer - divine contemplation - soar much higher in knowledge, love and power, than the highest studies? Feeling is deeper, more luminous, and more fruitful than science. As far as I am concerned, my theology - my science - is love, the union of my heart with God’s through Jesus-Christ and the Blessed Virgin. Nothing more and nothing less!

Encyclical Letter God is Love
Mary Has Given the World its True Light
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
you have given the world its true light,
Jesus, your Son - the Son of God.
You abandoned yourself completely
to God's call and thus became a wellspring
of the goodness which flows forth from him.

Show us Jesus. Lead us to him.
Teach us to know and love him,
so that we too can become capable of true love
and be fountains of living water in the midst of a thirsting world.
Pope Benedict XVI

Holy See Studies Violence on Women
NEW YORK, JAN. 17, 2007 ().- The Holy See's permanent observer mission to the United Nations wants to address the scourge of violence against women in contemporary society.

To do so, it has convoked a day of reflection for Feb. 27, co-sponsored by the Path to Peace Foundation and the Vincentian Center for Church and Society

The day of reflection coincides with a meeting of the U. N. Commission on the Status of Women.

The panel of speakers, moderated by Marilyn Martone, a theology professor at St. John's University, will address topics such as domestic violence, sexual exploitation of women and girls, and gender violence.

This event seeks to identify the social, economic and legal problems that violence inflicts upon women and discuss these issues through the prism of the dignity of the human person.

These conferences are planned in conjunction with upcoming U.N. meetings on the topic.

Immaculate Conception, Mary, my Mother.

Live in me. Act in me. Speak in and through me.

Think your thoughts in my mind. Love, through my heart.

Give me your dispositions and feelings.

Teach, lead and guide me to Jesus.

Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior.

Possess my soul. Take over my entire personality and life.

Replace it with yourself.

Incline me to constant adoration and thanksgiving.

Pray in me and through me.

Let me live in you and keep me in this union always.

Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you to prayer. Pray and seek peace, little children. He who came here on earth to give you His peace, regardless of who you are and what you are – He, my Son, your Brother – through me is calling you to conversion, because without God you do not have a future or eternal life. Therefore, believe and pray and live in grace and the expectation of your personal meeting with Him. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

I, (name), a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in your hands, O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
In the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose you this day for my Mother and Queen. I deliver and consecrate to you, as your slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present, and future; leaving to you the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to your good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and eternity. Amen.
