Good evening dear friends, it is a quiet evening here in Medjugorje or atleast here where I live, at the base of the Cross Mountain. As you all know, the 20th youth fest is starting tomorrow and this little western Herzegovinian village is already swamped with youth and those that feel young :-) Tomorrow is the day when most of the youth arrives but I must add that there was quite a few people that attended the evening mass tonight. If I had to guess I would say 20000. In any case, I just wanted to share this much with you all and tell you that I will try to keep my writing short and I will try my best to transfer the energy of the youth fest
to you all by adding as many photos and video clips as possible.

As you all know and I've written about this before, the seminar for priests has started a few days ago. There is a great number of priests attending, I believe the number is close to 400. The program is going forward acordingly. You can take a look at the program by clicking here.

Dear friends and family of Medjugorje, as Our Lord 28 years ago through Our Mother the Queen of Peace blessed this village and all of us, I am asking for a blessing upon all of you today for this day of the 28th anniversary of Our Lady's presence here.
Traditionally the morning before the day of the anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje a walk for peace is conducted. This walk starts in the parish of Humac (town of Ljubuski) where the people gather in front of the church of St. Anthony at 5 in the morning. Father Danko Perutine guided the large group (2000 - 3000). The distance between the two parishes is about 20 km (13 miles). Some walk bearfoot and some on their knees, the group arrived Medjugorje at around 10. Fr. Vjeko Milićević conducted the service of the adoration to the most holy Eucharistfor 30 minutes.

As you all know, we've celebrated Corpus Christi yesterday, the evening mass was celebrated at the usual time (7:00 pm) Fr. Svetozar was the main celebrant. After the holy mass a procession was formed with the altar boys leading, about 60 priests followed. Fr. Svetozar Kraljevic carried the monstrance until the first stop then Fr. Stjepan Martinovic took over until we reached the second stop where Fr. Svetozar took over again until we reached the Church. I have attached two photos that show the number of people that joined the procession and attended the service.
Good afternoon, just a short newsflash to share this with you all. The first part of the memorial for the victims of the WWII and the recent war for the people that gave their lives for the freedom of the Croatian people that lived in our parish. This 9.5 meter (31feet) tall cross and another 2 meters (6.5 feet) in the ground as the foundation was built out of reinforced concrete and erected last night. The location that was chosen is located half way up from the church to the Cross Mountain next to the recently built children’s playground and the mini soccer court. The second part to come soon will be a marble monument with the names of the victims. At that time the surrounding of the memorial and the cross it self will get the final furnishing touches and for now here is a photo of the cross.
