Dear friends,

Many of you sent an e-mail to me asking about Fr. Tomislav VLASIC and the articles written about him in different papers, web sites and forums around the world. The one thing I can do is write about the facts as I am trying not to interfere in to the church's internal issues and problems. The facts that are true are:

1. Fr. Tomislav Vlasic was one of the franciscan friars that operated in the parish in the beginning of the apparitions he operated as a Vicar since Sep. 1981. He was removed 1985 to Vitina, but not punished, he had all the faculties - to preach, to hear confessions - also all the priestly duties.

2. Fr. Tomislav Vlasic is not involved with Medjugroje since 1985. That means that he is not involved with the activities and the pastoral care of the parish of Medjugorje. He does have a house in Medjugorje behind the hill of Crnica and between the village of Surmanc and Bijakovici.

3. He is not a member of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina. He moved to Italy in 1988 and joined the Italian Franciscan Province of Abbruzzo in 1992. He decided in 1987 to go his way in forming a new Community, inspired by Medjugorje...

4. The six visionaries of Medjugroje have no contact with Fr. Tomislav Vlasis what so ever since the 80's.

Dear friends,

Last night an unbelievable occurrence took place, someone desecrated the statue of Our Lady at the site of the apparitions on top of the Apparition Hill. It is yet to be determined who did this and what were the reasons behind it. But if you ask me there is nothing that can justify something like this. The local police took this incident in to their hands, we can only hope their investigation will bear fruit. And we can only pray for the sick soul that did this.

Here is a photo for you to see what was damaged, as you can see the hand and the nose were damaged/broken. 

And there is no sign that his power is waning. His kingdom is more widely spread than ever before, and has the fairest prospect of final triumph in all the earth. Napoleon at St. Helena is reported to have been struck with the reflection that millions are now ready to die for   the crucified Nazarene who founded a spiritual empire by love, while no   one would die for Alexander, or Caesar, or himself, who founded temporal empires by force. He saw in this contrast a convincing argument for the divinity of Christ, saying: "I know men, and I tell you, Christ was not a man. Everything about Christ astonishes me. His spirit overwhelms and confounds me. There is no comparison between him and any other being. He stands single and alone. And Goethe, another commanding genius, of very different character, but equally above suspicion of partiality for religion, looking in the last years of his life over the vast field of history, was constrained to confess that "if ever the Divine appeared on earth, it was in the Person of Christ," and that "the human mind, no matter how far it may advance in every other department, will never transcend the height and moral culture of Christianity as it shines and glows in the Gospels." 

Dear friends, I don't think I need to tell you anything about who Andrea Bocelli is. I can only say that I like him and his music more than any other singer out there so his visit to Medjugroje was quite a treat for me. Thanks to Fr. Tomislav Pervan and some other friends I got to meed Andrea and had a short chat with him. I must say he impressed me with his simplicity that made me like him even more as a person and as a singer. The concert was spectacular, it is hard to guess the number of people that were there but the area in front of the white gazebo was as full as just a few time before.

Hello again, it is 22:45 here in Medjugroje, the fifth day of the youth fest is almost behind us. The farewell singing and dancing is on as we speak, I am having hard time concentrating as the music and the singing is so loud but it is a joy. It is so hard to transfer emotions and all of what was going on today. Mirjana shared this morning and a number of other speakers. The after noon was reserved for Fr. Miller from Germany. A young Franciscan (I can't remember his name) priest shared after and he was by far the most fun today as he had an animation program where he animated the youth to listen to the holy spirit as they listened to him and followed his signs to applaud at a certain time and speed. It was more than fun. Tomorrow morning at 5 is when the cloasing mass is celebrated on top of Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain). Youth is passing by my house as we speak to climb the hill and overnight there. Good night.

Good morning, it is day five already, I did not get a chance to write a few words last night about day four so here I go now. If I had to chose the most active day it would be day four. Sister Elvira, the founder of the Cenacolo community and all of the girls and boys that live in different houses prepared a spectacular presentation and sharing in the morning hours. Sister Elvira is as energetic as always, she was dancing and jumping, it was just amazing. Vicka being a friend of Sister Elvira and the community came and joined them in their sharing and when sister danced Vicka joined for that as well. It was allot of fun. :-)

The afternoon was reserved for my dear cousin Jelena the locutionary and she did just great, she shared about her experience in her encounter with Our Lady. After Jelenas sharing Marija the visionary also shared and she was just fantastic and touching with her life story where she shared some of the details about the beginning of the apparition and the messages of Our Lady that she relays to the world.

Holy Mass was served on various languages this morning and since it is Sunday English mass was served at noon. It was quite nice, a priest from Long Island, NY was the main celebrant (Fr. Peter Dugandzic) The afternoon was reserved for resting until 4'o clock when the evening program started with lectures followed by the payer of the holy rosary and then Holy Mass at 7. The main celebrant for the evening mas was Fr. Vjeko and the homily was prepared by Fr. Miljenko Steko. After the holy mass, the procession was formed in front of the white gazebo and the walk started around the village. Fr. Danko was the one to lead it and it took them 2 hrs. to walk around the village. The front of the procession arrived to the church area and the back did not leave yet. I must add again that this years youth fest outnumbered prev. years by 20 - 30 %.

Hello again, it day two of the youth fest, it was and is more busy than yesterday, two of the visionaries talked today, Vicka in the morning and Jakov in the afternoon. There were other speakers as well but to be honest with you I could not catch all of their names correctly so I will rather leave it at that. :-)

I got some photos ready but I need to process before I can upload. I will upload it by the end of the night.

As you noticed, I did not upload any photos last night, I was busy until 1 a.m. so I did not get a chance. Sorry about that but her they go...

Dear children; In my coming to you, here among you, the greatness of God is reflected and the way with God to eternal joy is opening. Do not feel weak, alone or abandoned. Along with faith, prayer and love climb to the hill of salvation. May the Mass, the most exalted and most powerful act of your prayer, be the center of your spiritual life. Believe and love, my children. Those whom my Son chose and called will help you in this as well. To you and to them especially, I give my motherly blessing. Thank you.
