The Fifth Day

It is estimated that more than 15,000 people had gathered outside Bijakovici that Sunday when the children arrived at the site of the visions a little after six in the evening. During the vision that day a local person, Grgo Kozina, was able to tape-record every word the children spoke to the crowd, as they asked questions of Our Lady and repeated her answers to the people. At exactly 6:30, Our Lady appeared to the children, and they asked the people to kneel. Children: Dear Our Lady! What do you wish from us (i.e. the children)? Our Lady: Faith and respect for me. Children: Dear Our Lady! What do you wish from our priests? Our Lady: That they firmly believe. Children: Dear Our Lady! Why don't you appear in the church so that everybody sees you? Our Lady: Blessed are they who have not seen and believe. Children: Dear Our Lady! Will you come again? (She will; she, will come to the same place. She will come. Dear Our Lady! Which do you like better: that we pray to you or sing to you? : Our Lady: Do both: sing and pray. Children: Dear Our Lady! What do you wish from these people who have gathered here? (At this point, the children said, Our Lady, before she answered: "Looked at all the people and smiled.") Our Lady: Let them believe as if they see.
